What is Blather?

Blather is a free browser word-guessing party game for 2–6 players, including the host. One person describes a secret answer using limited word tiles, while everyone else types guesses. Wrong guesses can become new clues, and everyone takes a turn describing.

How do my friends join?

Create a room and send its invite link. Friends open it, choose a nickname, and take a seat. A room code also works. Everyone can play on a phone, tablet, or computer.

Can two people play?

Yes. With two players, you share one score and take turns describing and guessing. With three to six, each player earns their own score for first guesses, successful descriptions, and quoted guesses.

How long is a game?

You choose 1–5 rounds before starting. Each player describes once per round, so four players and two rounds means eight questions. More players and rounds mean a longer game.

Do I need an account or a download?

No. Open the room link in your browser and choose a nickname. You can save your crew and add Blather to your home screen after playing.

How does this relate to Blather ’Round?

The original Blather ’Round is a Jackbox party game. Blather here is our own browser game with its own questions, scoring, round settings, and shared highlights. Our how-to-play guide covers the game on this site.
